Mrs Christy is No Longer Teaching Ballet

Yesterday my whole Ballet class and I found out that Mrs. Christy is no longer teaching our Ballet class or any other Monday class. The reason being that her baby has been having a lot of problems with her ears and that Mrs.Christy has just had to many classes to teach WHILE having to take care of her sick baby. I will still have Mrs. Christy for Hip-Hop/Jazz though so that is good. The new teacher who will take over in two weeks is Miss(Mrs?)Stephanie. Miss Stephanie is coming to watch us and take notes for the next two weeks,so we will get used to her. Purple Skirt was late and didn't hear about Mrs. Christy not doing Ballet and when she heard something about it she sadly dramatically said "You are leaving us!?!". The Mrs Christy had to go and explain everything she just told us to her. On a good note I have finally put little dots on the wall so now when I am doing barre and going across the floor for combinations I can spot something!!!

Polar Express

Today Mom,Dad,Jamie and I went to see the Polar Express movie at the I-Max Dome in the Science museum of Virginia. We were late so we had to run to get there before it started. When we finally got seated,I knew how out of of shape I am (LOL). The Polar Express is awesome movie. The graphics and animation were spectacular and amazing. There are many scenes where it feels like you are on a rollarcoaster. I told Dad that I want to get this movie on DVD. Polar Express puts you in a good mood like the regular "Muppets Christmas Carol","Preachers Wife" and "It's a Wonderful Life". Little kids might get too scared on some parts so I think only kids 8 and up would like it. But the real question is "Do you believe",cause I do!!! You'll have to see the movie to understand what that saying means.

Thanksgiving Stuff 2005

Ohhh where to start on what I did on Thanksgiving... Well Gommie B. came home for the day from the Nursing Home. Dad,Mark and G-Dad went to pick her up at eight thirtish but didn't get back to the house till almost eleven thirty. Reason being why they were so late was that the CNA's didn't know she was leaving for the day. After Mom took care of making Gommie B. and G-Dad's lunch we drove to Gommie K. (mostly known as Grandma now) and Pop Pop. It was already bustling and loud in their house with cousins,Aunts,Uncles and step cousins. Soon Pop Pop did his Thanksgiving prayer thing he always does. Then we brought our plates and went around to each of the tables and got and or asked for what we wanted. Then all the kids went back to the living room which was quite full of little/middle/big kids. There is two other girls who were born the same year as I was who are my cousins: Rebekah and Stacey. We ate pretty fast and hightaled it outside with my boy cousin Spencer who is brother to Stacey. All four of us always end up going to Rebekah's house. So Rebekah asked Pop Pop if she could drive us over to her house to play and stuff. All we did at Rebekah's house the first couple hours was play on the computer. While sitting I mentioned how Rebekah and Stacey looked like they wore the same eyeliner. Rebekah was like "Can we do makeup and hair on you?!?". At first I thought she was gonna mess me up like put lipstick on my face or something. By now Spencer's Mom had picked him up. I said sure so they both started on makeup. The put on some foundation but it looked orange. I jokingly said "Hey I was born orange!". I then had to wash all the makeup that was on my face so they could start over again. First I tried plain old water but it didn't come off. Rebekah told me to use a pore cleanser thingie to get it off so I did. It didn't work very well so Rebekah had to come and show me. FINALLY after getting the foundation off they started over again. Both of them almost didn't even get to do their "Mini Makeover" because Mom came to pick me up. Mom decided to just let them bring me home. They seemed to have some serious fun time making my face over. Next came my hairdo. Rebekah and Stacey first tried curls,it didn't work very well. So they curled up the ends of my hair. After a few hours I was done. I REALLY liked it a lot. Aunt Jackie (Rebekah's Mom) was very happy with it. Rebekah,Stacey,Scott (Rebekah's brother) drove back to the farm on the Gator. Then Scott drove me back to the house. A few hours later we had Thanksgiving Dinner with Gommie B. and G-Dad. Mom made a lot of good food. A few minutes after eating Uncle Kyle,Aunt Neva,Ben and Isaac came over to have some Butterscotch Spactacular. We ate it down stairs by the nice warm fire while watching a football game. Soon it was Isaac and Ben's bedtime and they went home. After they left Gommie went home to the Nursing home.

Purple Skirt

I enjoy being around adults but some of them and their attitudes makes me wanna scream. There is this lady in my Ballet class who is actually a "student". She wears these black spray painted Ballet shoes, white tights, black leotard, hair in a semi bun and a long bright purple skirt. EVERYONE else in the class wears pants or just wears tan tights and a black leotard. There is also another lady but she is "cool" with all of us. The other lady who I will call "Purple Skirt" hardly likes anything everyone else likes. Purple Skirt wants a Recital song with no lyrics and sparkly, itchy, poofy,no off the shoulder dresses for an outfit. Everyone and I would like to have lyrics to the song we dance to a Lyrically outfits that aren't sparkly, itchy or poofy. Some of the people in our class including me wanted our Recital dance to be "Broken Road" by Rascal Flats but Mrs. Christy said she has already started a competition group on that song. Mrs. Christy said she has found a classical song which she is gonna bring next week. Purple Skirt also trys to hold her passe for almost two minutes. Purple Skirt enjoys telling wierd stories like "My little daughter was crying and I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I looked at her from head to toe. I looked again at her feet and found a string of hair wrapped around her big toe and that was the day I got my hair cut". Does anyone agree with me that that is a weird story??? All of this stuff isn't so bad I guess. I tolerated Angela (Elizabeth,Laura and Kaylyn would know what this means.) for three or four years so I will be ok I guess.

My Love of Music

Drew's post on his Blog about music made me want to post something about it also so here it goes:

When I was younger I remember my Mom was strictly Christian music whereas Mark Aaron stuck to his roots;Country. Eventually Mom found Delilah which isn't Christian but easy listening and Mark went to Rock&Roll. I don't think I have EVER been into a certain types of music. People often can't believe I like all different music. I don't know how I have learned so many different songs because we have more Christian music than "secular" in our house. Yes,I own a Hilary Duff CD. No,I don't think she is the best singer or actress to ever walk the face of the earth. I watched her movie "Raise Your Voice" and I got a CD that had some of the songs in it from the movie. Which are "Fly","I Am","Someone's Watching Over Me" and "Jericho". On the way home from dance once Mark was listening to some music on a CD and it went like this "Angels wings will cover you tonight". That was all I could remember the next day about the song but I LOVED it. I asked Mark if he could burn me the "Angel" song (That was what I called it because I didn't know it's official name). Luckily he knew what I was talking about!!! Through that CD I have found three of my favorites which are "Anastasia","Beat Inside" and "Angel". These names are ones I just labeled ones, they probably not the official names. Plus One was one I stumbled apon while looking for a good CD to listen to in my Dad's large array of CD's. Yes,they are a boy band. No,I don't listen to them because I think they are cute. I think people shouldn't listen to music just because the person is cute who sings it. Gosh,it makes me annoyed when people say "Ooo he is soo cute;his music is good too". The good music should come first. That is what I think. You aren't quite a youth til you get a Relient K CD,Super Chic(k). Both of which I have. I am not a Relient K crazy like Joe but enough that I like a few of their songs. I like hymns not enough that I love singing them everyday. I used to have to sing them every Sunday;my voice got really sore from the high notes. How on earth do some of those ladies in choir hit such super high notes?!? If you are an expect sometimes you can know who is the "high noter" without even looking to see. No doubt they are some rockin awesome hymns like "Amazing Grace",the whole song sums up the whole life span from sinner to saint. I really like it even more when the person who sings it isn't a "high noter" but a low -medium singer. It can be SO beautiful when you sing it that way. Matthew West's "Thirteen" is one of my new favorites. Just ask my Mom: every time it comes on the radio I scream "This is my favorite song!!!" and crank it up all the way on the computer and keep it that way til it is over. This same thing will happen every time I hear it until I know this one well and find a new one I like a lot. I have Carrie Underwood's CD "Inside Your Heaven". When she sang "Independence Day" I got goose bumps on the crown of my head. That normally means for me a really good singer. Another sign of my enjoyment is taking my knuckles and banging them together happily. I think Dad is where I get my love of music from. My Mom isn't as musically inclined as Dad and I. Dad has a deep baritone singing voice. When we go to a new church and someone normally snaps their neck our way to see where that deepness is coming from it is SO funny. I guess I am just used to it... Ask my Dad how many CD's I have on my Christmas probably twenty or so. I keep adding more and more every day. If I get CD's for Christmas I have just about enough to last me through the year!!!
